Evaluation Copies

Raincoast’s titles and those of our client publishers are often used as texts in Canadian school, college, university and professional development courses. We are pleased to provide evaluation copies of our titles to professors and teachers who are considering them for course adoption in Canadian schools.

For requests from the United States, please contact the publisher directly via their website.

Please download this form to your computer to fill it in, then save and send the file as an attachment via email to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or via fax (604-270-7161, attention Academic Requests). Please note that in order to fill out the form, you must open it from your desktop or select "always open with system viewer" in your browser settings.

The request must come from an email address of an accredited educational institution in Canada. If you are submitting via fax, please submit the form with a cover page on official institutional letterhead. Please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery. We cannot provide evaluation copies to institutions in the United States.

Raincoast reserves the right to limit the number of exam copies sent to any professor or instructor in a single academic year.

Desk Copies

If you have adopted a text for a course at a Canadian school, Raincoast is pleased to provide a desk copy for instructor use. Please download this form to your computer to fill it in, then save and send the file as an attachment via email to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Note that your bookstore is not required to order the book directly from Raincoast; orders placed through Canadian wholesalers also qualify for desk copies (be sure to note your sales source on the form). Please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery.

If you have adopted a book for a large class, you may need desk copies for several instructors or teaching assistants. In consideration of this, Raincoast will provide one additional desk copy for each 35 copies of a single title ordered during a term. We reserve the right to limit the number of desk copies provided.

Please note that desk copies from Raincoast are only available to accredited educational institution in Canada. For American requests, please contact the publisher directly via their website.
