H.G. Wells' spellbinding account of an invasion from outer space is now a musical opening at the H.R. MacMillan Planetarium in Vancouver. Runs until Nov. 20. For details visit, www.thewaroftheworlds.ca
The War of the Worlds was first published in 1898 and was famously dramatized by Orson Welles in a 1938 radio presentation. A new edition of The War of the Worlds is available with illustrations by Edward Gorey.
