St. Martin’s Publishing Group
St. Martin’s Press has a long and respected history of publishing a solid and varied list. We are dedicated to publishing emerging new authors, and offering a fresh perspective on classic genres, while maintaining a diverse and interesting range of books. Our strength is derived from a dedication to solid publishing of many books, while consistently producing the occasional blockbuster. The vast majority of St. Martin's hardcovers are published in paperback through our internal paperback lines.
Griffin
The Griffin list features a wide range of contemporary paperbacks (some original publications, others published in conjunction with the St. Martin’s Press hardcover list), and includes hundreds of bestselling works of fiction—from commercial, literary, and graphic (illustrated) novels to titles of African American and young-adult interest. The hallmarks of Griffin’s varied nonfiction publishing program extends to such categories as: Biography and memoir, pop-culture and politics, business and self-help, humor and reference, gay and lesbian, health and fitness, home and travel (including the Let’s Go® guides), crafts and hobbies, nature and medicine, New York Times crossword puzzles and Will Shortz’s sudoku, and much more.
St. Martin’s Paperbacks continually produces a strong list of bestselling mass-market books—from already established to up-and-coming authors—in both original and reprint form. The scope of the SMP list is extensive and inclusive—from contemporary fiction and historical romance to paranormal suspense, mysteries (under the Minotaur imprint) and thrillers to the True Crime library, military nonfiction to movie tie-ins, and many other sub-categories in each genre.
