About Petit Collage
Started in 2006, Petit Collage is all about good design. Artist and founder Lorena Siminovich approaches all she does including authoring and illustrating over 20 children’s books with this philosophy. With her team of designers, she creates modern wall décor and home accessories influenced by midcentury design. The studio, located in an artistic hub of San Francisco, is an incubator of new ideas, art, and illustration where creating great design and pushing the envelope on new formats is the norm. Playfulness imbues every format Petit Collage touches from mobiles and mirrors to dolls, decals and more. Striving to handcraft their goods in a sustainable way using the best-quality, most forest-friendly materials available is equally important.

Are you bored with lame ol'sandwiches? Well there's this new book out from St. Martin's Press that will have you excited for lunch again. Filled with fun, quirky and easy to make recipes Insanewiches; 101 Ways to Think Outside the Lunchbox will help you rekindle your love for the luncheon meal that everyone loves to hate. The book came from a wickedly popular blog insanewiches.com. The creator of the site, Adrian Fiorino, was born into food culture and raised on a steady diet of offbeat humor. He draws inspiration from the most unexpected sources: cell phones, puzzles, power drills, and even sports cars.
Some recipes that included are:
-The Rubix Cubewich---the sandwich that started it all
-The Pancake Popwich---an irresistible breakfast on a stick
-The Sumo Sandwich---a heavyweight that’s overstuffed with steak, chicken, salmon, and assorted mushrooms, radish and scallions
-The Pumpkin Cheeseburger and Along Came a Spider---kooky concoctions the kids will love,
-Cosmo Martini Sandwich---made with a cranberry muffin and orange slices, just for the girls.
So take a stroll to your local bookshop and pick up a copy, then go to your grocer and grab some ingredients to construct some of these outrageous concoctions!
Oh and of course ENJOY!!

Yellow Bird Project is a Montreal-based non-profit initiative that was started in 2006. Yellow Bird Project has worked with an amazing range of indie rock musicians (Bon Iver, The Shins, Joseph Arthur, The National to name a few) to create unique t-shirt designs (designed by the musicians) that benefit an array of charities. Each charity is chosen by the musicians as well, so YBP has given money to a variety of charities; St, Jude's Children's Research, AIDS society, Mercy Corp, etc!. The goal of Yellow Bird Project is to do something fun that encourages philanthropy in young people and support the artists we love. For more information about YBP's mission, and to purchase T-shirts crafted by some of the bands in this book, please visit http://www.yellowbirdproject.com.
