Under the Covers: Reviewing the Covers of 2009
by Dan
Design & Typography + News / January 27, 2010
Tonight is the BPPA's annual review of the best and worst book covers of the year.
Alan Jones, Senior Designer at HarperCollins Canada, was scheduled to have been one of the panellists, but sadly he had to drop out at the last minute. He is being replaced by freelance deisgner and advertising copywriter David A. Gee and umm... me.
Other (eminently qualified) panellists include freelance designer Ingrid Paulson (formerly Art Director at Raincoast Books), Terri Nimmo Senior Designer at Random House Canada, and Steven Beattie Review Editor at The Quill & Quire. This unruly rabble will be moderated by David Ward of McClelland & Stewart.
The event is 6:30-8:30 pm at The Arts and Letters Club in Toronto. It's free for BPPA Members, $20.00 for non-members.
For more information go to the BPPA's event page.
Come heckle.
