Google’s Earth and Maps team has launched Favourite Places, a chance to explore the favorite places of local experts from cities around the world.
This month, Google worked with a few travel editors and authors from Lonely Planet to share their favorite places across the globe, including Vancouver Encounter guide author, John Lee. He gives us a personal scoop on Vancouver with a tour on Favourite Places.
Tony Wheeler, one of the co-founders of Lonely Planet, also takes a break from his travels and shares his favorite places around the world with a map and a Google Earth tour. Far out!
Find out where they like to go, and why, from their own perspectives. It’s always nice to have a friendly travel guide to point you in the right direction!
